Fool’s Guard
Fool’s Guard
(Feat)
This feat involves the wielder of a sword hanging the tip of their weapon towards the ground in a seemingly careless position. The next opponent to attack is surprised by a swift cover and counterattack. To use this feat a sword-wielder must use the Ready action. Before the start of their next turn they can choose any melee attack targeting them or someone adjacent to them as the trigger. Prior to the triggering attack, the sword-wielder uses their reaction to add their proficiency bonus to their AC or that of the targeted person, and then the wielder attacks with a +1 bonus. If there are no triggering attacks prior to the swordwielder’s next turn, they lose their readied action.
