The Lord-Mayor is a 65-year-old lord who inherited his position from his father, the late Enzo Penderoc. Jarét cares for his town but is mostly obsessed with maintaining his wealth and high position. His loyal and stoic wife, Lady Avalynn, is the product of an arranged marriage and ended up a profound disappointment to Jarét when she never produced an heir. Both nobles are portly and fond of wearing shapeless velvet robes and elaborate, curly haired wigs to hide their thin grey hair. They both speak with pretentious highborn accents.
