(Wand, rare, requires attunement by a spellcaster)
While holding this wand, you can spend an action to cast a 60-foot-long ray of frost. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, it takes 4 (1d8) cold damage, and its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. This effect costs no charges.
By expending 1 charge and saying the phrase “frigus trabem,” you can cast ray of frost at 5th level for 9 (2d8) cold damage.
By expending 3 charges and saying the phrase “frigus tempestas,” you can cast a
cone of cold. Each creature in a 60-foot cone must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 36 (8d8) cold damage on a failed save (DC 15) or half as much
damage on a successful one. A creature killed by this effect becomes a frozen
statue until it thaws.
The wand has 7 charges. Each day, the wand regains 4 (1d6+1) expended charges at dawn. When you expend the wand’s last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the wand shatters into ice shards and is destroyed.
